Catching Up

It seems like catching up is what I am trying to do every day! I will now try to catch up on our blog.

Well, we sold our house and moved out. We are so lucky to have such a great family. My sisters came and helped clean and helped put on an awesome yard sale. I've never had a yard sale before, and let me tell you, I never knew people would pay for such junk! I also never knew I had so much junk to sell!

My parents are letting us stay at thier house in Farmington until we head off to North Carolina. They are in Hawaii right now with my two youngest sisters, so we've had the house to ourselves. This is Camden in his new bedroom; the large closet in our room.

We had a nice general conference weekend. Calvin had a mission reunion on Friday night, and on Saturday night we went down to Provo again for a bridal shower for my friend Carrie. Calvin just turned in his last paper this week, so it was nice to finally spend some time together. We have been so busy trying to pack and move, plus Calvin trying to make sure he graduates, it has been hard to find time to just relax and have fun.

Just like everyone else, we are ready to be done with Winter! I really hope that with this Easter weekend, Spring will come and we will be done with snow for good.

Getting Out Of Our Empty House!

Well, we now have several empty rooms! All of our couches are gone, our big screen TV, the washer and dryer, and the furniture in the extra bedroom. It's kind of sad! We're really excited though that we've been able to sell most of the big things so far so that we can just move with a light load and then get some new stuff when we get there!

Yesterday, we spent the whole day out and about. Calvin finally finished his three busy weeks of homework, a huge paper, and three tests. After we settled a few transactions, including the sale of the sectional and the TV, we set out for the South Towne Expo Center. We had a booth there for the Bear River Lodge. I had worked on Thursday and Friday, and I wanted to show Calvin and Camden all the cool stuff. My two favorite things were the baby bear cubs and the splash dogs!

We then went to the BYU baseball game against the U of U. BYU won 11 to 3. We then stopped and got some frozen yogurt (our new favorite 80 calorie treat) and then did some shopping! After that we even got to go to BYU for some bowling, and then a dollar movie at the Varsity Theater. It was a really fun day!

For Sale!

Lots of things FOR SALE! On Saturday night we signed a contract with a family to buy our house and they want to move in on March 31st! That means we have to be out of here in three and a half weeks! We'll know better this week if everything is going to go through ok, but they are pre-approved for the loan, so hopefully it works out! We decided to just drop the price on our house way low to just make sure we could sell it before we had to move. Within 24 hours, we had signed the contract. We really feel like this will be a blessing to our family and to the family who is buying it. Wish us luck!

Ultimate Housewife

Today I feel like the ultimate housewife. I cleaned our garbage can in the kitchen. It was gross. There was green stuff growing on the bottom and it smelled terrible. I was thinking I should just throw it away and get a new one, but the thirfty wife in me said no. Haha, so, I devised an amazing plan. I boiled a pot of water and poured it into the garbage can along with some bleach. I shut the lid and thirty minutes later, it was perfectly clean! Here is the after picture. I wish I would have taken a before. So that's it! That's how exciting my life is! Haha.

8 Miles!

Okay, this may not sound like a big deal to some of you, but Calvin and I went on an 8 mile walk on Saturday afternoon. Calvin actually went 10 miles because he jogged a mile farther and then came back the extra mile while Camden and I took a break. When we started out, I told Calvin there was no way I was going to walk 8 miles, but I made it!

We went along the Provo River Trail, which is actually really nice! Camden got to ride on Calvin's back the whole time. He stuck it out the first 4 miles, but on the 4 back, he fell asleep. The weather on Saturday was perfect. It was so nice to get outside and enjoy some sunshine.

We had a really good weekend. On Friday night we went to the BYU men's volleyball game. They won! Camden looked great in his BYU hat. Calvin's excited to get him a Duke hat and turn him from a Cougar cub into a little Blue Devil. I'm not so sure about taking care of a Blue Devil!

First Hair Cut

Calvin gave Camden his very first hair cut! Camden did great. He wasn't even scared of the clippers. Calvin also did a great job. After Calvin gave Camden a hair cut, he gave himself one! He's amazing! I don't know how he does such a good job cutting his own hair. I only have to help him with just a little in the back. Besides that, he does it all himself!

What a handful!

Camden has become quite the handful! I finally got my computer working again (my power cord stopped working so I ordered a new one, and it took a while to get the right one) so here are some pictures from the last couple weeks. Camden has become quite mobile. He loves to climb, crawl, and get his hands on anything and everything. I have to watch him a little closer these days!

We had a nice holiday weekend. On Friday, Calvin and I went on an early Valentine's date while my mom watched Camden. On Saturday and Sunday, we went up to the lodge to do some work. There is so much snow there! On Monday we went back to my parents house and helped with some projects there. It was a good weekend!
